Educational Services

The Spec Coach is an educational service intended to fill the current gap in the construction industry related to training of specification writers. All of the TD2 courses and seminars are delivered by The Spec Coach.

What We Deliver: Our courses and seminars are tailored to meet the requirements of our clients with regards to business spheres of influence, areas of expertise and differing construction contractual agreements.

Instructors: Our principal instructors, Ian Bartlett and Thomas Dunbar are both Registered Specification Writers with many years of experience in construction specification writing training, and who have been involved in developing, authoring and delivering construction document courses and seminars throughout their careers. Training materials are based on the recommendations of the Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) Manual of Practice (MoP) and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Project Resource Manual (PRM).

CSC offers education and certification courses related to specification writing which are also based on the CSC MoP. The Spec Coach courses and seminars are intended to complement, not replace or compete with, the educational courses available from CSC.
